The Challenge

McDonald’s is Australia’s biggest employer of young people, giving thousands of kids each year their first real job. But with a shift in the way young people were interacting and engaging with each other, and with brands, McDonald’s were seeking new and innovative ways to reach the next generation of crew members.

The Idea

We created Snaplications – the instant job application that changed the face of McDonald’s recruitment in under 10 seconds. We turned Snapchat into McDonald’s biggest recruitment channel, allowing teenagers to apply in a snap – no resumes or CV’s, just personality.

Results

In the first 24 hours we received nearly 3,000 Snaplications – 4x higher than traditional methods gathered in an average week, and within days we had already hired real young people into positions at McDonald’s

Global media coverage across Australia, USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Spain and many more generated an estimated reach of 312M+ people in just 3 days, while our Snapchat lens generated 1.5 years worth of playtime in just 24 hours.
